ABOUT ME
Jessica is a 25 year old make-up artist who is continuing to grow in the makeup industry. With her love for all things abnormal her end goal was always to work her way into the special effects make-up industry. At a young age she lived everyday or the Halloween season. During the entire month of October she would take every step possible to make herself and her friends into whatever they wanted. This was as simple as a face paint all the way to those at home DIY prosthetic make-ups. Starting to really tap into her creepy creative juices she started to search up where she could learn how to make real movie creatures as well as hone in her beauty skills to enhance peoples natural beauty. With those few web searches she again fell in love with the Make-up industry.

After finishing Cosmetology school in Oregon and still wanting to make this weird and unique hobby into a career, Jessica made the choice to move to California to attend Make-up Designory in Burbank. While in school Jessica learned everything from beauty to special effects, and even special effects shop work. Her love for creating something from the ground up was the most intriguing thing she could think of doing. Knowing it was possible to make your own prosthetics was something very interesting to her and she wanted to try and work her way into a job using these new skills.
What's happening now?
After graduating at MUD Jessica researched and researched for jobs she felt would fit her goals to work in the makeup industry. With a decent amount of shooting her shot and then missing she finally got hired with MageeFX. At his Special Effects shop Jessica runs silicone masks, gloves, and sometimes bodies. After finishing all of the messy work she then goes in and paints the silicone pieces with her airbrush and finalizes details with a paintbrush. Jessica also would help others in the shop with running latex pieces. Jessica also got to work as a sit down prosthetics make-up artist at Universal Halloween Horror Nights for her first year working the event. After the Halloween season Jessica went back into the shop to start prep for Universal Studios Grinchmas. In the shop her and her coworkers prepped grinch faces which included them pre painting and laying hair onto the prosthetic. From the prep in the shop Jessica then went into being a prosthetic and beauty artist for the Grinchmas event at Universal studios.

Currently Jessica is freelancing and working on different film and print sets doing makeup and sometimes hair. Some of her favorite sets have been music videos where the artist has let her be 100% creative with the makeup. Jessica has also had the opportunity to do different demo makeups at conventions to show off her skills to a live audience. She has loved every makeup she has had the opportunity to do and loves all of the people she has met along the way.
Looking into her future Jessica knows she made the right choice to move to California to pursue makeup and will continue searching for new and bigger opportunities. Maybe she'll make something for the next film you watch or you'll see her work in a magazine spread. This is just the tip of the iceberg for Jessica, she is a goal focused person and always keeps growing and moving towards what she wants. You can always expect her to put 110% into whatever she does and that she will do whatever it takes to make her dreams a reality.
